Exciting news from our building superintendent, Jon Weaver.  The heavy equipment has begun preparing our lot for construction.

Ground Blessing Ceremony: February 14 at 8:00 AM

This year we will be building in a neighborhood called Maybrook Crossings in Southeast Raleigh south of Poole Road along South New Hope Road just outside the beltline. Habitat Wake built sixteen homes in the Maybrook neighborhood in 2014.

Our Baptist coalition will begin construction of one of three additional new homes to be built  and there will be a special  ceremony on Feb. 14 at 8:00 AM to ask God to bless our efforts.  Please plan to come and participate at 2742 Erin Ridge Road.

Our house has a family! 
Joann Robertson has two sons, Tyrese and Tyshawn. They are an active family, and love going to the park together. Tyrese likes to play tennis and basketball, and Tyrese and Tyshawn both love soccer. Joann can’t remember how she first heard about Habitat, but her church has been involved since 1999. Joann is looking forward to the home ownership classes and beginning to sweat for the home she has dreamed of owning for both her and her children. She knows that there is a lot of sweat and budgeting involved. She is also excited about learning the skills to build a home from foundation to completion.
