Ground Blessing Day

Valentines Day: A natural day for celebrating God's Love and blessing for our new Habitat House. The ceremony was held on February 14, with the weather cold but the hearts warm.

Working together for God

"Then the King will say to those on his right, 'Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, Matthew 25:34-35

What are we trying to do? We are bringing Baptist churches together to build homes, community and hope. Our first Baptist Build project was in the fall and winter of 2013. Our second project will be in the spring of 2015.

Why are we doing this? We believe everyone in Wake County should have a decent place to live. Seeking to put God’s love into action, we are bringing Baptists together to build homes, hope and greater community in Jesus’ name.

Family Partnership

Joann Robertson and her two sons, Tyrese and Tyshawn will be the owners of this new home at 2742 Erinridge Road in Raleigh.

Joann can’t remember how she first heard about Habitat, but her church, New Hope Baptist, has been involved since 1999. Joann is looking forward to the home ownership classes and beginning to sweat for the home she has dreamed of owning for both her and her children. She knows that there is a lot of sweat and budgeting involved. She is also excited about learning the skills to build a home from foundation to completion.
